My theatrical experience at school.

Drama has always been important in my teaching for many years. My students have never performed a whole play in front of an audience, though I collaborated with my Music colleague when they performed “The Tempest” as a Musical, singing in English.

My students often act out conversations in class. Sometimes they act out a sketch of a graded reading. We usually attend performances in English organized by groups specialised in Students. The companies send us material to introduce students to the play, which last year was “The Taming of the Shrew”, and to familiarize them with the it, some students act out a small part of the script.

Now I’ve decided I’m going to work with the script that I wrote with my partner and use it with my youngest students. Then, I’ll try with more ambitious projects. I like the synopsis I read in the blogs from other colleagues and hope to use their ideas and scripts in my own classes.
