I have to say that for a long time now the only drama activites I have dared carry out with my students are the role-play ones. These always prove to be most useful when putting English into context in different situations and are very easily set up.

Some years ago, however, I took the challenge of working and performing a play with my students. They were from 4º ESO and the experience was greatful but also exhaunting.

First we decided on the topic. We agreed it would be on a TV reality show since they were most popular at the time. Some of the characters were the people appearing on the TV studio, and for them we made up the most incredible tragical stories to speak about. Then, other characters were   the TV reporter conducting the program and also some TV technicians, such as a cameraman -actually this person recorded the whole of the performance with a video camera and later we all could see it on a TV set-. Finally the rest of the students were the audience invited to the program.

As I said before it was a regarding experience because all students got involved in it and enjoyed it,  but I still can remember the great effort it represented for me. I hope one day I won´t mind repeating this experience again.
