My most recent drama experience took place two years ago, with a Bachillerato group (Ampliación Oral) and a play I wrote myself in order to perform a reader's theatre activity.
What went wrong: ç
- a very large group of students who, in spite of their age, had to be managed like little kids;
- trying to convice said students of the joys and usefulness of drama for improving their oral competence purposes;
- the panic attack that our "star" suffered barely five minutes before curtain up and having to replace him for an improvised understudy.
What went right:
- students learning to group in an organized group with a single objective;
- the tons of fun they (and I) had;
- the interest (very mild, agreed) some students developed in reading more drama.
Would I do it again? I can't wait!
