When I was reading my fourth year of career I was entangled to take part in a play: "The Importance of Being Earnest". At the beginning I was very reluctant to be pàrt of it. But eventually I was talked into it and took up the part of Algernon Moncrief. We were working for a long time and at the end of the course we performed it in different occasions and places with great fun. But apart from the fun and good moments we went through, I must say that it was the best input of language I've ever had, apart from living in England, in my proffessional career. I learned the whole play by heart, and I could still say most of it by heart; it was 32 years ago.

The next year we prepared another one by W S Maugham: "The Nobel Spaniard" in which I pplayed the part of the noble Spaniard: The Count of Hermanos.

When I started teaching I prepared a play (this time in Spanish as the level of English of my first students was not enough to do it in English. It was a play by Miguel Mihura: "Las entretenidas"

In all three occasions we learned a lot of things about communication, how to set up a scenary, how to project your voice, how to make a scene a bit more funny without being exaggerated, and best of all we learned and had fun at the same time.
